Description West College, Princeton University. This photograph appears to date to the period between 1870, when West College was given a mansard roof, and 1926, when this roof was removed.

West College was built as a dormitory in 1836 and was probably designed by John Notman. Around 1870, it was given a mansard roofline. During renovations in 1925-1926, Aymar Embury removed the mansard roof and expanded the building on the west side. Since 1964, the building has been used to house administration offices, including the undergraduate admissions office.
