Professor Charles A. Young's observatory office and residence on Prospect Avenue. Princeton University hired Young away from Dartmouth in 1877. He agreed to come to Princeton in part because of the recently-completed Halstead Observatory, and in part because he was promised the residence shown here and built in 1878.
