Jack Noland, fireman of the Princeton Engine Company No. 1 on Chestnut Street, in dress uniform. He may appear in the group portrait C_1_001 (third row, twelfth from the left), where he is unidentified. Princeton has three volunteer fire companies. The Princeton Hook and Ladder Fire Company was founded in 1788; the Princeton Engine Company No. 1 was founded in 1794; and the Mercer Engine Company No. 3 was founded in 1847. |
