Excerpts, with commentary, from a series of letter written from Princeton, 1851-1858, by William Tyler Anderson to his uncle, Robert Anderson, at Yorktown, Virginia. William Tyler Anderson had been appointed Cashier of the Delaware and Raritan Canal Compnay in 1850 and the letters contain substantial infomation on the operation of the canal. Transcribed from the original letters in the possession of G. Ernest Dale, Jr. |
