Description |
House on the corner of Moore Street and Willow Lane. The house is presumed to date from 1855. Thomas Hubbard bought the lot from John Conover in 1854 for $150, and sold it two years later to Britton Slayback for $1,000. The property was involved in the shifts of land by the University Laundry Company in the period from 1905 to 1911; it was lot #1 on the subdivision map filed by the company in June of 1908. The house belonged to Cornelius J. Cottrell and later to Ann E. Cottrell and her heirs in the period between 1862 and 1905. It may have been a rental property. |
