Description |
Whig Hall, Princeton University. Clio Hall and Whig Hall were both built in 1893 and designed by A. Page Brown to house debate societies: the Cliosophic Society and the American Whig Society. The societies merged into the group commonly called "Whig-Clio" in 1929 and are still housed in Whig Hall. In November 1969, the building sustained significant damage in a fire and was renovated by the firm Gwathmey and Siegel. |
