Description |
View of Princeton University campus with the Old Chapel. This building was the college's first chapel, designed by architect John Notman in 1846. It seated 325 students, and was expanded in 1870 in response to increased enrollment. In 1882, the Marquand Chapel was built on campus and the Notman-designed chapel became known as "The Old Chapel." It was demolished in 1897 to make way for Pyne Library. |
