Description |
Murray Hall, now part of Murray-Dodge Hall, Princeton University. The building serves as a center for religious activities on campus. Murray-Dodge Hall is composed of two buildings joined by a cloister. Murray Hall was built earlier, in 1879, using a bequest from Hamilton Murray (Princeton University class of 1872, died 1873 on the S. S. Ville de Havre, which sank in the Atlantic). Dodge Hall was built in 1900, given in memory of Earl Dodge (Princeton University class of 1879, died 1884) by his father William Earl Dodge, Jr. and his brother Cleveland H. Dodge (class of 1879). This photograph appears to show Murray Hall before the construction of Dodge in 1900. |
