Description |
Griggs Corner Amoco gas station on Hulfish Street. After living in Massachusetts as a freed man, Burnett Griggs eventually settled in Princeton in 1909. With the money he had saved in the initial move, Griggs invested in property on Hulfish Street and Witherspoon Street. During the urban renewal of Princeton, Griggs held tightly to his property and refused to be bought out by the town, eventually opening his own restaurant: "Griggs' Imperial Restaurant".
