Description |
The Casino being moved. The Casino was built in 1895 on Princeton University's "lower campus" to provide a home for the Triangle Club's performances. Club rehearsals and local performances were held in the building, which was also used for dances, tennis, bowling, and as a National Guard armory. The building was moved twice, first to the foot of University Place and then close to the site of McCarter Theatre, where a railroad freight building was later built. |
