Description |
Stereograph of Halsted Observatory, Princeton University. General Nathaniel Halsted funded the construction of an observatory just after the end of the Civil War. Astronomy professor Stephen Alexander led the committee to plan and build the observatory, which was completed in 1869. It was used until the 1930s. |
