This was originally the stable for Thomson Hall. In 1909 it was moved to Mercer Street and remodeled by Lewis Baker of Baker & Dallet, a Philadelphia architectural firm, for use as Borough Hall (from 1909-1936). The building has been used as: 1. Stables for the Mrs. Josephine Thomson Swann estate (Thomson Hall) 2. Lending library 3. Borough Hall 4. American Legion Post 5. Seminary class rooms The cupola has been removed. |
